Just a dude who likes to golf and make stuff
That's basically the whole story. I'm Bruce — a veteran, a golfer, and the one-man shop behind BA Custom Products in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Everything here I design, build, and ship myself.
It started with my own golf simulator. I wanted a wireless control box to run the sim without a tangle of cords, and without the computer sitting out where a stray club or ball could find it. I went looking for one that was affordable and actually easy to use. Nothing out there fit. So I built my own.
That meant diving headfirst into 3D modeling, 3D printing, and PCB design — and a whole lot of trial and error. Eventually I landed on something I was proud of: a golf simulator control box that's handmade and 3D printed right here, one at a time. It's plug-and-play with no programming. Your computer just reads it as the hotkeys already built into your sim software, so you plug it in and you're playing.
One project led to the next. Figuring out the control box got me hooked on making things, and the shop grew with it — custom 3D printing and laser engraving, apparel, golf club repair and re-gripping, and the free software I write to make sim life easier. If there's a need and I can build it better or cheaper, I'll take a crack at it.
The mission hasn't changed: make the best, most affordable golf simulator control box out there, keep improving it, and keep adding the kind of custom, made-in-the-USA gear I'd want myself. Veteran-owned, handmade, and shipped from a small shop in northern Minnesota.
Thanks for stopping by. If you've got an idea or a project in mind, reach out — I'd love to build it.
