The short version

This is a one-man shop. The site collects what it needs to take your order, send you what you asked for, and count visits. It does not sell or rent your information, and it does not run advertising trackers.

What is collected, and why

• Orders: your name, email, phone if you give it, shipping address, what you bought, and the amounts. Kept as the sales record (tax law requires it) and used to ship the order and answer questions about it.
• Payment: card details go straight to Stripe on Stripe's payment page. They never touch this site. Stripe sends back a payment reference and the amounts.
• Shipping labels: your name and address go to the carrier (USPS or UPS) through Shippo to print the label and give you tracking.
• Email lists: if you tick a box for the newsletter or a program's update list, your email, the list, the time, the page, your IP address and the exact wording you saw are stored as the record of consent. Nothing is sent until you confirm by email. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
• Reviews: the name you give, your email (for confirmation, never shown), your rating, text and photos. Photos are re-encoded and location data is stripped.
• Quote requests and contact: what you type and the photos you attach, so Ba can answer.
• Software downloads: a download count per program. No account, no registration, nothing sent from the program.
• Visits: this site counts pages, referring sites and busy hours on its own server. It does not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracker. A visitor is recorded as a one-way code that changes every day and cannot be turned back into an address.

Cookies

Three small cookies, all needed for the site to work: one for your cart, one that protects forms from forgery, and one for the owner's sign-in. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Who else sees it

Stripe (payments), Shippo and the carriers (labels and tracking), Resend (sending email), and the hosting network that carries the site's traffic. Each gets only what its job needs. Nobody else.

How long it is kept

Order records: as long as tax law requires. Email list records: until you unsubscribe, plus the record that you did. Visit counts: two years. Quote requests and reviews: until you ask for them to go.

Unsubscribe from any list with the link in the email, instantly, no login. To see, correct or delete what the shop holds about you, email bacustomproducts@gmail.com or text (218) 684-3290. Order records that tax law requires are kept; everything else can go.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
