Warranty: Trust Me Bro Guarantee and DIY kits
Two warranties, depending on what you bought. Every control box Ba builds comes with the Trust Me Bro Guarantee, a 1-year limited warranty. DIY kits and parts come with a 30-day out-of-the-box limited warranty: they work when they arrive, and that is all. The details are written out below so you know exactly where you stand.
Both are given by BA Custom Products LLC, 1102 N Main, Thief River Falls, MN 56701. Phone (218) 684-3290 (call or text), email bacustomproducts@gmail.com. They apply to purchases made on or after October 18, 2026. Last updated October 18, 2026.
Trust Me Bro Guarantee: 1-year limited warranty on finished control boxes
Every control box Ba builds is built by hand by one person, and that person answers the phone. If your box stops working the way it should under normal use, text Ba. He will walk you through it, and if it needs fixing or replacing, he takes care of it. No forms, no ticket numbers. This is a limited warranty.
Who it covers
The person who bought the box new from BA Custom Products. It does not transfer to anyone who owns the box later.
What it covers
Defects in materials or workmanship in a finished control box built by BA Custom Products, standard or customized (the V2.5, the SimMarshal, The Companion and the print-defect deal box), when the box is used normally. That includes the buttons, wiring, electronics, wireless parts and the case.
How long it lasts
1 year from the day the box is delivered to you. A repaired or replacement box is covered for whatever is left of that year.
What Ba will do
If your box has a defect this warranty covers, Ba will, at his choice, repair it, replace it with the same or an equivalent box, or refund what you paid for the box. Parts and labor are free. If he needs the box back, he will tell you where to send it: you pay to ship it to him, and he pays to ship the repaired or replacement box back to you.
How to use it
- Text or call (218) 684-3290, email bacustomproducts@gmail.com, or write to the address above. Give your order number (or your name and about when you bought it) and say what the box is doing.
- Ba will help you troubleshoot first. Many problems turn out to be a setting or a battery, and he can walk you through them.
- If that does not fix it, Ba may ask for photos, a short video, or the box itself, to see what is wrong and whether it is something this warranty covers.
- Please do not send a box back until Ba tells you where to send it.
What it does not cover
- DIY kits and parts. They have their own 30-day out-of-the-box warranty.
- Damage from misuse, abuse or accidents, such as drops, a club or ball hitting the box, spills, extreme heat, or the wrong batteries, charger or power.
- Damage caused by opening, changing or repairing the box, unless Ba asked you to. Opening the box does not by itself end the warranty.
- Normal and cosmetic wear (scratches, scuffs, faded labels) that does not stop the box working, and cosmetic flaws described in the listing, such as on the print-defect deal box.
- Batteries.
- Problems caused by your computer, the simulator software or its updates, or other equipment. Ba will still help you get it working.
- Boxes bought from anyone other than BA Custom Products.
- Loss or theft. Damage in shipping is handled under the terms of sale: tell Ba within 7 days of delivery.
DIY kits and parts: 30-day out-of-the-box limited warranty
A DIY kit is a curated set of parts put together for you to build yourself. The parts in Build your own (shells, buttons, the wireless encoder) are sold for you to build with. They come with one short promise: they work when they arrive. After that there is no warranty, and kits and parts come with no build help or customer support; the instructions and videos on each listing are the help that comes with them. If you want a warranty and Ba's support, buy a finished box: the V2.5 or the SimMarshal. This is a limited warranty.
- Who it covers: the person who bought the kit or part new from BA Custom Products. It does not transfer.
- What it covers: every part arrives complete, undamaged and working. For the wireless encoder and other electronics, working means it works when you first plug it in, before you solder, wire or install anything.
- How long it lasts: 30 days from the day it is delivered to you.
- What Ba will do: at his choice, send a replacement for the missing or faulty part, or refund what you paid for it, at no cost to you (he pays to ship the replacement).
- How to use it: within 30 days of delivery, text or call (218) 684-3290 or email bacustomproducts@gmail.com with your order number, what is wrong and a photo. Ba may ask for the part back to look at it.
- What it does not cover: anything that happens once you start building, including damage from assembly, soldering, wiring, programming or changes, a build that does not work, and misuse or accidents. Build help and troubleshooting are not included.
Limits that apply to both
Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last only as long as the warranty above that comes with what you bought: 1 year from delivery for a finished control box, 30 days from delivery for DIY kits and parts. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
BA Custom Products is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, such as lost business, lost time, or damage to other equipment. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. If you live in Canada, nothing here limits the rights your province's consumer protection laws give you.
Outside the warranty
If a finished box breaks from something its warranty does not cover, text Ba anyway. He has fixed worse, and he will tell you what a repair costs before doing any work.
A free printed copy of these warranties: call or text (218) 684-3290 or write to the address above.
