Free, or the Unlock
Free edition: every feature. While it runs, it shows the BA Custom Products background on every screen.
The Unlock, $50 per PC, one time, plus Minnesota sales tax for Minnesota addresses: your own pictures and sponsor ads on every screen, changing every few seconds if you like; your own background behind the game cards, darkened, blurred or with dark edges; no BA Custom Products mark. Every other feature is the same as the free edition. All 1.x updates included. No subscription. After unlocking, BA BayLauncher works without the internet.
The Unlock is planned for later. It is not available yet. It will be sold from inside the program (Settings, About, Unlock this PC), $50 per PC, one time, plus Minnesota sales tax for Minnesota addresses, all 1.x updates included. All sales are final, except where the law requires a refund.
Guides and terms
Owner guide and every release on GitHub: install, first-time setup, updating, the four ways back to the Windows desktop, privacy and safety, troubleshooting. The owner guide and the printable "Back to the desktop" sheet are also in every download, and inside the program under Settings, ? Help.
The license agreement is shown during setup: free to use, one PC per copy, the free edition shows the BA background, the free edition never connects to the internet and your data stays on the PC.
GSPro, TruGolf, E6 and ProTee are trademarks of their owners; BA BayLauncher is not affiliated with them.
Overview
- Big game cards instead of the Windows desktop. Tap a card to play.
- One-button end: a key combo or a BA control box button closes everything the card opened and brings the cards back.
- Your own cards: your pictures, your games, carousel, row or grid.
- Learn mode watches a game start once and finds every program it opens.
- Staff PIN for the normal desktop; four printed ways back, never locks you out.
- Private: no internet connection, no personal data collected. Free.
What it does
The bay PC starts straight into big picture cards: GSPro, TruGolf Multisport, or any game you have. A guest taps a card and the game opens over the cards. When the game is over, one press of a key combo or a button on your BA control box asks "End this game?", closes everything that card opened, and brings the cards back. Staff get the normal Windows desktop with a PIN.
- Recipes: GSPro with ProTee AutoStart, TruGolf Multisport (it finds the sports for you), or any other program. In Multisport, Exit Game still goes back to the sports menu; closing the launcher brings the cards back.
- Every screen: the cards on your projector or main TV, a background picture on the side screens.
- Never locks you out: four ways back to the Windows desktop, on a sheet you print and keep next to the PC. No Windows policies, no blocked keys: when BayLauncher is not running, the PC is a normal PC.
- Private: no internet connection, no personal data collected. The staff PIN is stored as a salted hash, never as the digits.
Getting back to the Windows desktop
- Staff PIN: the lock button in the top-right corner of the cards, your PIN, then Desktop.
- Ctrl+Alt+Del: Task Manager, Run new task, type
explorer.exe, OK. - Restore Windows Desktop: the shortcut on the desktop, or Start, BayLauncher, Restore Windows Desktop. From the next sign-in the account starts to the normal desktop.
- SAFE.txt: an empty file named SAFE.txt in C:\ProgramData\BayLauncher, then sign out and back in.
Two editions
| Free edition | Every feature. The side screens show the BA Custom Products background, with a QR code to this site, and a small BA mark sits in a corner of the cards screen. That advertising is what keeps the program free. |
|---|---|
| Owner unlock, $50 per PC, one time | Yours for life, every future version, no subscription. It unlocks your own backgrounds and sponsor pictures on the side screens and removes the BA mark. Sell that slot to a local sponsor and it pays for itself. |
How the unlock will work: press Unlock this PC inside BayLauncher. It opens payment with that PC's Bay ID (shown under Settings, About). Once paid, a signed license for that one PC is issued, the PC picks it up by itself within a minute, and you get the license key and file by email. After that the PC checks its license offline, forever: no account, no check-ins, no server to depend on. Windows reinstall on the same PC keeps the same Bay ID; a new PC or motherboard can take the license over by itself once per 12 months.
The unlock is built and being tested. It is not released yet; this page will carry the Unlock link when it is.
Common questions
Can a guest get stuck?
No. Four ways back to the desktop are on a printed sheet, and the PC is a normal PC whenever BayLauncher is not running.
Does it work with my control box?
Yes. A BA control box button can end the game and bring the cards back.
Does it collect anything?
No. No internet connection and no personal data.
Why is it free?
The free edition shows the BA Custom Products background on the side screens, with a QR code to this site. Ba values open source and free tools; the best way to support them is a physical purchase, like a control box.
Can I put my own pictures on the side screens?
That is the owner unlock: $50 per PC, one time, yours for life. Your own backgrounds and sponsor pictures, and the BA mark goes away. Sell the slot to a sponsor and it pays for itself. You buy it from the Unlock button inside BayLauncher; it is not released yet.
What if I reinstall Windows or the unlock server is down?
The license is issued once, at purchase, and the PC checks it offline from then on. A PC that already paid keeps working; only new purchases wait. A copy of the license comes to you by email.

Works with
- Windows 11, 64-bit (tested). Windows 10 64-bit may work but is not tested.
- GSPro, TruGolf Multisport, or any other program installed and working on that PC.
- A BA control box button can end the game and bring the cards back.
- A card can run several programs in order, for example ProTee AutoStart, which then opens GSPro, and wait for the game window.
What's new
1.0.2 current 2026-10-10
Free game cards for golf-simulator bays, by BA Custom Products.
What's new in 1.0.2
- The game cards screen is now drawn by the CPU instead of through the graphics driver. On some PCs with two screens
(a projector and a TV), the cards came up black or very dark right after start-up while clicks still worked; this takes the graphics driver out of the path. Nothing changes in how the cards look or move.
- A new "Cards screen check" line in the log, for support: what is on the cards screen a few seconds after the cards
show, after a screen change, and when a card is clicked.

What's new in 1.0.1
- First-time setup: while it is open, the lock button only brings the setup back to the front, so nobody can set the first staff PIN from the cards.
- Learn leaves helper programs (crash reporters, set-up tools, updaters) unticked.
- "Turn on BayLauncher for this account" works for every Windows account name.
- Bay ID: on PCs without a motherboard serial number, the system disk's serial number is now read correctly (on such PCs the Bay ID changes once).
- The owner guide is corrected in several places (screens, opening and closing games, programs that are never closed, privacy page).
Updating: run the new setup over the old one. Your cards, pictures, look, screens and staff PIN are kept.

Add to cart and download the zip file.
Unzip and run BayLauncher-Setup-1.0.0.exe (accept the SmartScreen prompt if shown: More info, then Run anyway).
Start > BayLauncher > BayLauncher in a window. A short setup asks for your staff PIN, the screen for the cards, the button that ends a game and your first game card.
On the bay's Windows account: Start > BayLauncher > Turn on BayLauncher for this account, then sign out and back in. The cards fill the screen.
Getting Back to the Desktop
Staff PIN: the lock button in the top-right corner > your PIN > Desktop.
Ctrl+Alt+Del > Task Manager > Run new task > type explorer.exe > OK.
